Asher Keddie takes out the Gold Logie
April 15, 2013 § 2 Comments
Congratulations Asher!
On the lead up to the night of nights, I had the pleasure of shooting Asher Keddie for TV WEEK for her nomination for the Gold Logie.
It was a crazy hot day, and the crew were melting away as Asher, in her professionalism came onto set looking as gorgeous as ever, bringing her charismatic energy and worked her magic to produce a beautiful set of images.
I love this particular shot, with every element coming together from Ashers striking pose to to the simplity of the compositon and the pop of red from this beautiful Carla Zampatti dress against the white floorboards.
Thanks to Asher and the crew for a really great…..hot and successful day!
A little Bit of Blue

I love driving along and seeing something that catches my eye, a little moment where everything has just fallen into place. You pull over, run back, and shoot a few frames.
You can pass the same building a hundred times, and then one day, the light is perfect, the sky is perfect and the lines are magical.

Congratulations Hamish!
Every year, I swan a little black dress to glam it up for TV’s night of nights…The TV WEEK Logie Awards. This year we saw the likes of Tony Bennet, Flo Rida and many a gorgeous dress float down the carpet.
From the fishtail dresses to the stylish suits, Australia’s most popular faces of TV, excitedly swarm into Crown Casino to find out who takes out the prize for categories such as Most Outstanding Actress, and Best Documentary.
This year the award of the night, the Gold Logie went to the talented Hamish Blake.
With TV WEEK, I had the pleasure of snapping Hamish prior to the big night for his nomination shoot, alongside Asher Keddie, Carrie Bickmore, and Adam Hills. I love a studio filled with so much excitement and Logie Fever. Thanks to everyone for a very fun day.
Photo of the Month – Catching a moment
September 30, 2011 § 1 Comment
This month it’s all about a moment. Sitting on top of a hill over Angkor Wat, waiting for the sunset to magically glow as the stories had promised, I found the people around me more interesting than the sunset itself, which was sadly disappointing.
Turning my camera around on the crowd, I watched as everyone waited in anticipation. Behind me, were these two boys, who in unison, raised their arms and tried to cup the sun in their hands. At that second, I shot one single frame and the moment was over.
Sometimes ‘catching a moment’ is a feeling that something is going to happen, and preparing yourself, and other times, like this moment, it’s just special that you are lucky enough to witness and document it.
Photo of the month-phone photography
August 31, 2011 § 1 Comment
This month is all about phone photography. It has become very controversial on some photography platforms, such as in the competition field. Its accountability is questioned in the professional world, as to whether it is of high enough standard and credible.
Personally, I still feel, as it has been for many years, that it is the eye of the photographer, and not his/her tools that makes a great photo.
The phone camera definitely has a place in my life, its handy, it allows a very accessible camera to shoot in certain situations that sometimes, when pulling out my SLR with a big lens does not, and of course, a lot of fun with its instant creative looks. Accept its boundaries and snap away. I’m excited to see what the future has install.
This is a little series I shot at sunset, great colours, great movement and I bet too, if it was on a wall, and I didn’t let you know, you may not have even picked it was shot on my iphone.
Its Block-tastic!

Australia’s television screens have been lit up over the past few months, especially the past two weeks, with Channel 9’s renovation series ‘The Block’.
It’s created such a frenzy that over 25,000 people came to view the completed houses on the first inspection day.
Shooting for OK! Magazine, I got to spend the morning with two of the contestants Josh and Jenna at their newly bought and yet to be renovated home. Along with their two gorgeous dogs, Josh and Jenna were a dream to shoot, and you can check the spread out in this weeks issue.
Congratulations go to Josh and Jenna, who just sold their house for a whopping and fantastic price of $1 million.
